I initially created the sketch for this work with the idea for a music poster in mind, i had created a series of sketches for a close friend of mine who had asked me to do the artwork for his album.

The Album is called 'Weigh me down' and I was to create the feeling of waiting or longing or hanging around.

This particular sketch was not chosen as the final artwork, though the image really stuck with me and seemed to speak in it's own right. from this i created this adaptation, where taylor indulges in her morning cigarette, the clouds are representation of the fog of the mind and the stare as the stagnation of waiting someone.
