Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
There are so many birds in the backyards of Australia. A flock of Honey-eaters literally buzzed my house as they descended on a grove of banana trees in flower, which they apparently love, so much so that they are commonly called banana birds. As a group they make the most amazing buzzing, humming sound. There flashing blue faces are striking and enables them to be seen from quite far away. This painting is one of my latest series of 'bird-scapes" featuring common Australian birds.
The painting is on high quality stretched canvas. The under painting is in Acrylic paint and the finishing touches are with oil paint. This painting has unique dimensions as it has been framed by a professional framer who designed the size to suit the painting. It is varnished and ready to hang.
