Ok- a bit different for me but every now and then I get the urge to paint a landscape. Think this one involves a longing to return to this magical, serene place, warm breeze blowing, captured in the moments before dawn...
Whilst it represents a billabong in the Kimberly in the Australian outback - it really could be anywhere.
It is painted spontaneously
with brush and palette knife, to give a textured surface and interesting effects from areas of blended paint. It is primed with magenta gesso which peeps through rougher areas and at the edges to enliven the whole.
It is offered unframed. If wanted, I can source a natural wood ash floating frame from Southern Buoy. Please allow an extra 2 weeks and $110 (Just contact me to arrange before buying)
