Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This title of this painting comes from Georges Lemaïtre (1894-1966), a Belgian mathematician and Catholic priest who developed the theory of the Big Bang. He believed this 'bang' was the beginning of time, taking place on "a day without yesterday."
Sometimes a dive into or out of darkness gives us inspiration and hope. While this work embraces turbulence, uncertainty and consumption, it shines with new life, community and hope. It is a reminder that all storms will pass and beauty and love lives on.
