Hokkaido was painted after a trip to the place of the same name in Japan. I'm inspired by the traditional arts of Japan, as well as it's natural beauty and Japan's culture of sensitivity and connection to the natural world.
It is painted whilst employing nature (such as gravity and viscosity) to mimic nature.
