This piece shows my fascination with the life and forms of rainforest systems, where the boundaries between life and stone and soil are blurred. Trees blend into the forest floor and into vines and epiphytes, fungi and creatures. The more one looks, the more one sees.
It is a meditative work, and would suit an area that needs a place for the eyes to rest. Colours are muted and soft with a few splashes of intensity.
The edges of the canvas are painted a charcoal grey, and the entire is covered with a satin varnish.
