Acrylic on paper
Signed on the front.
Undone no 5 by Lana Alsamir-Diamond is the first in a series that explores the undoing of the forms in my work, the forms and compositions that are a result of a continuous interest in themes of closeness, a minimal abstract. This series was born as a part of a whole, a small segment of a larger story. My monochrome works are extremely minimal yet have a strong presence, I could live surrounded by these works forever and never tire of their presence. They look better together, hung side by side.
Moons are a constant in my work, if you have ever watched the moon as religiously as I do, you would know that the moon has so many faces, my fascination started when I used it as a constant presence in my more figurative works, and I slowly became fascinated by the shape and the possibilities it offered to my work, it grew from a representation of the moon to a recurring motif.
Beautiful Arches are present here, they are my Architectural element of choice.
