This painting evolved from me contemplating the symbology of serpent. When we dream of snakes, apparently they tell us that it is time to change. I am sure it is so much more and different to everyone, but to me personally, snakes are a symbol of Transformation. Leaving behind my "old skin" - all that does not serve me any longer. The process is quite beautiful and dynamic, yet not always easy...Misty Morning Dreaming was once inspired by the surrounding landscape, here in Sunshine Coast Hinterland. When clouds hang out above us so close it is like the most Dreamlike state I have ever witnessed when awake...So it is hard not to get inspired by this... :)
