Through time, there have been many things said of horses. Here are 2 of my favourites.
There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.     Winston Churchill
To ride on a horse is to fly without wings.     Unknown
This painting was inspired when I saw photos of driftwood horses sculpted on beaches. I deconstructed a horse and using pattern, as I love to do, reconstructed him to make a ‘fantasy horse’.
He is no less a horse for being a fantasy. He frolics through the air as if he has wings. His sectioned body flies over a textured background of midnight blue. Reflective gel trails of shining light flow from his feet, his mane and his tail. Truly a horse to dream on.
He would work well on a light or a dark wall. The edges of your painting have been finished in midnight blue. Your painting will not need to be framed, unless you choose to do so.
My work is held in both private and corporate collections in the U.K., Europe, N.America, N.Z. and Australia.
