Pathways are a favourite subject of mine. I love the way they invite you to explore, to see what's around the corner. I imagine how hot that sand will feel as I emerge from the shadows of the pathway. The overhanging trees and vegetation make interesting patterns and I can play with light and shade which is another of my favourite subjects! This painting will take you straight back to happy, sunny holidays by the sea.
