Artwork Description

The Majestic Australian White Ibis, also known as the "bin chicken", "dump chook", "trash vulture", "Bankstown bin diver", "garbage flier", "winged waste lizard", "refuse raptor", "dreg-beaked scrap fowl", "detritus drake", "bottom-feeder biddy" or "tip turkey", gets a pretty bad rap.

The preferred habitat for the Ibis is swamps, grasslands, wetlands, parks, beaches and mudflats, but because of droughts and the fact we have destroyed their natural habitat, they have migrated towards cities and have earnt the name 'bin chicken' as they eat our scraps.

Painted on deep edge stretched canvas with white painted sides, sealed in a satin finish, signed and ready to hang, the pating also comes with a Bluethumb Certificate of Authenticity.
