These koi are crossing paths, all of my koi paintings normally show the fish together but not touching or directly crossing each other. I wanted this painting to represent a quote I read, 'People come into your life, some for a long time and some a short time. Regardless they are there for a reason, appreciate them all ... We are so often caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate them.'
