Mostly known as a Painter, every now and again I like to stretch myself artistically and do something completely different.
Beach Please was created to celebrate my childhood home right by the sea at Balmoral Beach NSW. I have many happy memories of days spent at the beach, fishing on the wharf and one of my favorite pastimes was looking into the many Rock Pools along the shoreline. I was absolutely fascinated by all the tiny shells, sea sponges, anemones, barnacles and starfish.
Beach Please was created on a professional quality round wooden panel. It features many individually created (hand sculpted, no moulds are used) sea creatures using quality Japanese paper-clay. Each piece is then hand assembled onto the panel, then it is sealed to harden, and stained/painted in lovely beachy blues and sea greens. Finally it is matte varnish sealed.
Lots of time, patience and love has gone into the creation of this unique piece. 50cm across in size, Worth your investment, Beach Please will be a talking point in your home or office art collection.
The wood sides are painted a complimentary deep blue/green. The finished piece is hard and permanent and will last indefinitely with minimal care (just dust occasionally).
The total weight of this piece is only 2kg and it comes with a sturdy metal hanger.
Beach Please comes very well packed with lots of padding. Ready to hang, this piece is signed, titled and year dated on the back of the panel. A signed Certificate of Authenticity is also included.
