An award winning poet turned printmaker, Lizzie Horne is known for her intaglio and relief prints, which have been shown in galleries in New South Wales and Queensland, most recently the Tanks Art Centre in Cairns and the New England Regional Art Museum. Her subject matter ranges from the natural world to the fantastic, with her writing and visual art often intersecting. Her poem Kangaroos in my blood was the basis for a group exhibition at NERAM in 2016/17. In May 2018 she takes up a bursary (the Helen Dangar Memorial Art Bursary) to further her studies in printmaking in Florence at Il Bisonte studio, and in July she heads to Colorado to take up a scholarship at Anderson Ranch Arts Centre.
