I saw this rare breed of sheep for the first time, while on holiday in the north of England, and was thrilled to find them in Australia after so many years. They have gentle features, which translate so well on canvas. Sheep have intrigued me since my undergraduate years , and I have explored the subject for many subsequent years. I am always drawn to the quieter side of life, where I conituously find unnoticed subtleties in my surroundings.
