I came across this image and he looked so stoic, just like a soldier protecting his territory. The piece is rendered using watercolour ,ink and oil paint on a really heavy weight paper and although it looks quite realistic, on closer inspection you will find touches of the silver oil paint dropped into the wet watercolour, giving some random and unexpected marks.
