The first time I ever saw these luscious fields of purple was on our trip to the Flinders Ranges. If I remember correctly it was in the month of October must just have been the right time of the season for it. We were driving past and all you could see was purple upon purple of course we had to pull over and take some photos. My wifey then informed me of the story behind the Salvation Jane, that though itโs an invasive plant species in Australia it has helped out many farmer. The name Salvation Jane is mostly used in South Australia due to its use as a source of food for grazing animals when the less drought-tolerant grazing pastures die off.
