Artwork Description

A depiction of the arid dunes of the Simpson Desert. The work is an abstraction in a sense‚ but aerial views of the Simpson also have an eerie‚ abstracted complexion. This work picks up on the colours and contours of the region.

Dunes within the Simpson can stretch for 200km. Nappanerica is the largest dune in the region and reaches 40m in height in some sections.
