Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

Old grass trees with blackened stumps show their history in their weathered forms. A classic silhouette in the Australian bush. Representing the resiliance of the Australian landscape they bounce back from fire.

I often paint works as pairs, it is just something I've done for ages. This is the sister painting to Grass Trees After the Fire II. The two works are made to hang side by side but could look equally good hanging in the same space or seperately.

A large chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles on a blue back ground. Frilly deep pinky red and white flowers with an abstract apricot and ochre background. A gum tree on the hill made up of vibrant hot pink and orange brush strokes. A delicate small Australian bush bird emerging from a hollow in a euclaypt trunk.
