Artwork Description

Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

The Green Line is an exploration in layering colours and textures. The piece gradually builds up as colours are added and covered and revealed. The starting point was the application of thin layers of acrylic paint and water soluble oils. Then gradually thicker and more tectured layers of oil paint were added. Sand has been worked into the paint and impasto medium to create thick rough texture. Oil sticks have also been used to draw onto the piece to add colour and pattern.

The painting is on stretched canvas and has gallery wrapped edges so it can be hung as it is or have an external floating frame added. It has D-hooks and hanging wire attached so it is ready to hang.

A large chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles on a blue back ground. Frilly deep pinky red and white flowers with an abstract apricot and ochre background. A gum tree on the hill made up of vibrant hot pink and orange brush strokes. A delicate small Australian bush bird emerging from a hollow in a euclaypt trunk.
