Although more commonly observed as a pair, or group, with a single male in his bright blue plumage, it is not unusual to see more than one male, especially in Spring. I love these animated little birds as they frequent my garden. A strategically located bird bath outside my studio allows me to observe them and many other species as they come to drink or bathe.
