Artwork Description

Reflections on the water has been influenced by our local waterfall and waterhole we often visit in summer to keep cool. As the droplets of water hit the bottom of the waterfall they reflect in the sun.

Colours and shades of aqua and ochres, family circles that connect to nature. Spaces in between to reflect the Cracks in my Culure.I have chosen bright apple green and perfect light magenta pink to celebrate a collaboration of story, family and women. There are Aboriginal symbols depicting our travels throughout our life as First Nation Women on Country. The colour purple blending onto a light shade of yellow represents the colour of the sky at dusk. There is symbols representing the county made up of hills and Plains, the trees and people of my country. This artwork has many shades of blue representing the colours of the Bay and the water's. It shows the walking tracks that I often take and meeting places. The colours give this artwork a gentle feel and takes you to a special place of harmony and calmness.
