City lights were playing on the wet roadway and everyone dashing about to get out of the rain and home or off to meet a friend. It reminded me of those long ago days when we didn’t carry a smart phone and we had to get to a public phone to call a taxi or boyfriend to pick us up. The ubiquitous Red Telephone boxes were like a warm haven – as long as there wasn’t a queue. I love painting the dance of reflected light.
