I have an assortment of old crockery which I have collected over the years. During the COVID 19 initial lockdown in Queensland, I was in the process of completing a series of miniature paintings and decided to challenge myself by completing this miniature which measures just 8.9 cm x 6.4 cm. The crockery I used as the "model" is by Wood and Sons of England dating back to the early 20th Century.

Though Isolation was a difficult time for some, I found it quite freeing as it gave me loads of time to devote to my artwork.

An abstract depiction of a rainforest with creek in foreground. A triptych of a cityscape of Brisbane with the Brisbane River in the foreground. The left side of the triptych shows the bustling hub of Kangaroo Point through the pillars of a balcony. This section I have called "Kangaroo Point". The middle section is looking towards the city and I have called this section "Brisbane Riverscape". The third section is titled "Story from the Balcony" and features the story bridge as seen from the balcony of the apartment.
