Acrylic Paint on canvas, ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
The dreadful fires in Australia in the summer caused the death and destruction of hundreds of thousands of acres of bushland and created desolate landscape. However in only a few months the landscape has burst forth with new undergrowth and foliage of all shapes and hues. This is the second in a series of paintings represented the regeneration in the northern Victoria area. The painting has an abstract feel.
The painting has been built up in layers of acrylic paint on canvas, using a deep burnt umber, burnt Sienna and grey as the base. The lighter colours of Sienna, mid grey and off white have been blended into the darks to give a surreal impression of those shapes and curves of the abstract trees and rocks which seem to be swallowed up in the mist.
