This work is another in the series of my fascination with letterboxes. The mailbox marks the invisible line between home and safety and the rest of the world. Such a heavy load of responsibility for a small round tin! Sometimes it's full of excitement and potential, but most of the time just ordinary, dull correspondence. I love to see all the creative things people do to their letterboxes even when we hardly use them now. The sides are painted, it's varnished and ready to hang with wire across the back.
