This is a linocut print of a Banksia tree seed pods and tea-tree branches.
I really love just working with line, texture and tone. Printmaking is a very methodical way of working, as it takes many hours to design and then hand carve the woodblock prior to printing. The printing of the woodblock is another art in itself, each print is unique and has a certain character.
These are printed by hand, so no two prints are the same.
My main influences include the Australian printmakers: Margret Preston, Barbara Hanrahan and Jan Senbergs.
Paper: 250 gsm BKF Rives cotton rag paper.
These prints are printed by hand so there will be slight variations with each print.
