Artwork Description

This is an semi- abstract painting inspired by Lerderderg Gorge, which is in between Melbourne and Ballarat

I'm interested in the way colour, shapes, textures and patterns create inner emotions, than trying to depict a 'photograph'. I have been told that my painting has a uniquely Australian style. I'm not sure what that is, but I'm very much influenced by Sidney Nolan, Reg Mombassa, Ken Done and the late indigenous artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye.

My work is somewhere between fine art and design.
