Oil on canvas, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Every winter I go foraging in Mt. Crawford Forest in South Australia for saffron milk cap mushrooms. It is a pine forest and the ground is covered with various pine needles, leaves twigs, and bits of bark. It is the shapes and colours of these gifts of nature that have inspired this painting.
The painting has had a few incarnations, but I’m finally happy with it.
