Artwork Description

Oil on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This painting was inspired by a meandering drive in Norton Summit, a town in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
I came across this beautiful back road which was lined with beautiful white barked eucalyptus trees with a green bracken undergrowth.
Eucalyptus, or gum trees are the quintessential Australian tree, and one of my favourite subjects to paint. Mainly because of their beautiful coloured bark and the twisted shapes of their trunks.
