As a landscape painter, the inspiration for my work comes from travelling locally in Australia.

My work is developed in two stages, photography, then painting. I like to study the landscape and will take photographs with a future painting in mind. I gain inspiration for my paintings from those photographs, so capturing the composition, colour and feeling of a scene is important.

Using acrylics and charcoal, I begin the work to create the composition in my own style.
I like to paint subjects that form a sense of drama and intensity in conjunction with interesting composition, pure colour and various techniques.
