Here we have all the staples of an old-fashioned summer holiday at the beach - sunshine, Big Things, marine parks, saturated colour and Meter Maids in gold lamé bikinis. My paintings are based on vintage Australian postcards, which present a very particular view of Australianness - fun in the sun, right before the sunburn kicks in.
