This semi abstract work seemed to take on a life of its own and paint was flying around like magic in my studio.
Thoughts of Tolkiens brilliance in poetry, lent an intangible element to these hidden caverns.
"Far over the misty mountains cold,
To dungeons deep and caverns old.
We must away ere break of day,
To seek the pale enchanted gold.
The wind was on the withered heap,
but in the forest stirred no leaf
there shadows lay by night or day
and dark things silent crept beneath.
Now call we over the mountains cold,
'Come back unto the caverns old'!
Here at the gates, the King awaits,
His hands are rich with gems and gold."
