This painting shows a wintery scene comprising of a row of rooftops which are in Bellevue Parade, New Town, Tasmania. I was not sure whether the composition would work but think it has. Nothing is painted with any great detail, the colours are fabricated, and yet I think everything comes together to create a wintery feel. Very prominent in the scene of course are chimneys and yet there is no smoke! Why? Because everyone has at least one heat pump, I assume. Note the array of solar panels.
