This self portrait was inspired by my recent break up. At a time when I felt uninspired and struggled to find motivation, I needed to create something - anything - and pour my emotions in. This is my biggest painting so far and the most detailed and personal.
This was also the first canvas I stretched myself! The canvas is 100% 10oz cotton duck that has been primed with 3 layers of gesso.
