I created this work after a recent visit to a botanical garden in Daylesford.
My memories of this particular garden are of colours, geometric shapes, light and shadow movements, as well as a soft, sweet feeling.
My work is informed by the traditions of early to mid-20th century movements and styles such as Bauhaus, Color Field, Op Art and Minimalism.
Knowledge of these traditions has equipped me with more abstract lenses through which to view the world, whereby objects, landscapes, emotions and thoughts transfer into lines, shapes, forms and colours.
This work comes in the floating Australian oak frame.
