What is the Botanical Mini Story?

This is the first of a series of mini studies of just the single native flower... it is aimed at showcasing the beauty of the single flower and its amazing architecture.

Often these flowers are lost in the surrounding bush or foliage and the goal is to highlight each one of these flowers.

I am still using my favoured medium of ink and fountain pen on watercolour paper ...with wash or coloured pencil for that added burst of color.

This series of studies are much smaller than my usual big pieces and I am really enjoying the smaller close up details.

The piece will come to you framed and ready to hang in your choice of black or white box frame as shown in the photos. The frame is lightweight wood and perspex for easy travel and hanging.

This piece is titled 'Warratah1' and the focus is on the amazing color of the flower. I am always in awe of the unique sculptural shape that nature created for our viewing pleasure.

The interior shots shown may not be to scale but are shown to highlight the different framing options.
These Mini Flora pieces are always available for interpretation into larger works via a commission.
