This is the first of many drawings from my Red Arts Festival Artist In Residency in the Pilbara.
The flora in this amazingly rugged and red earth landscape is so uniquely Australian... it takes your breath away.

I was so inspired by tiny plants that grow in the cracks in rocks in 42C heat and still produce beautiful flowers, fruit and seedpods! These flora are not only architecturally beautiful with their extreme natural colours and survive in these harsh conditions but they actually flourish!

My goal is to highlight as many of these flora as they create little pockets of magic... recreating them to become the the visual heroes they deserve to be.

I had the privilage of spending 3 weeks immersing myself in the culture, the huge landscape and the amazing flora. I am now bursting with inspiration and drawn to a whole new colour palette based on this incredible experience.

So this is a series of three which can hang individually or as they did at my solo exhibition called 'Ink In Bloom' hang as a set of three.

Please enjoy the beginning of my exciting creative journey that was my residency in the Pilbara.

This comes to you in a natural box frame, perspex from, in its own custom made box and with a Certificate Of Authenticity.

Please not the interior shots are for inspiration and may not be to scale.
