Adorned with colourful embroidered rugs and jewellery. With Intricate Indian designs painted on their face bodies I was inspired to paint this elephant at the Jaipur festival in India.
My processing painting this picture began with painting a patterned colourful background and then depicting the elephant over the top revealing the colours and patterns beneath. I have also embellished the elephant with French lace that I inherited from my late grandmother's haberdashery shop.
