Watercolour Paint on paper

Another Australian landscape in the form of a Cityscape. Naturally this is our beautiful harbour city of Sydney. I was in Sydney a couple of years back in June just waiting for the first lights to come on for the Vivid show. It had been a long day in the city and it was still some time to come before the show was to begin. I remember being quite cold and tired, as we'd been in town since the early morning and it was just as we'd decided to go home, when lo and behold Nature brought about it's very own Light show. Some of Sydney's skyscrapers were magically transformed by the glow from the setting sun. Looking back towards Circular Quay, nearly everything was in shadows except for the low light shining on the city's highrises. Just awesome. I knew I had to recreate this vision. I remember working on the sketch last year, but what with working for my debut exhibition last year and various group exhibitions this year, I have only recently been able to add colour to the sketch.
