Artwork Description

During a visit to the village of Mt Wilson in the beautiful Blue Mountains 2 years ago in early Autumn, we were wandering around the grounds of Breenhold Gardens when we came across this wonderful path between 2 rows of trees. I was inspired by the play of light and shade between them.
I created this original piece in August 2016, using Winsor and Newton professional watercolours on Arches paper 300gsm
It's mounted on acid free white foamboard, comes with an offwhite double mat and Champagne coloured wide frame.
Size of painting: w37cm x h55.1cm
Size including mat: w54cm x h72cm
A Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
This painting will form part of my upcoming exhibition in October at Gallery One88 in Katoomba. Will be available after the 15th October.
I have just received an award by Light Space Time for this artwork. I participated in their 'Open' 2018 Art Exhibition, a worldwide competition, and from 702 entries I came in at around 110. Quite surprised 😊

an illustration of two blooming camelias with their gorgeous yellow centres and their delicate petals with some twigs and leaves and unopened buds.a wonderful specimen of the native Crimson Rosella looking at us whilst enjoying his morning meal up in the Blue Mountains.a gorgeous native bird visiting our garden during spring and summer is this vibrantly coloured Rainbow Lorikeet with a spray of a grevillea bloom and colours used for the body of the bird as droplets underneath, so to speak as a celebration of it's colours.a beauty of an Australian native bird of the kingfisher family is our Kookaburra which every now and then bring a smile to ones face, hearing their laughter
