This is another of my Australian Landscapes series. Since I live at the foothills of the magnificent Blue Mountains National Park, I couldn't go past creating a number of paintings depicting the beauty of this rugged region. Needless to say that the Three Sisters have always been a drawcard for tourists visiting Katoomba. Enjoy visiting as much as I can.
Original painting created in May 2018.

set against an abstract background are the slender leaves of the Australian eucalyptus tree silver princess with a number of gum nuts showing off their beautiful pink blossoms.under a blue sky with increasing pastel coloured cloud cover is the winding Tumut River with a number of deciduous trees glowing with fall colours in sunshine growing along it's banks and their reflections in the slow moving water.set against a backdrop of dark blues, purples and turquoise shades is a bright flowering sunflower with it's glowing petals of yellow and orange with various green toned leaves in an impressionistic style.Twilight Reflections is a painting depicting a vibrant and colourful sunset over a stretch of water. Where the sun is setting on the horizon, and her rays reach the water casting golden hues. It captures a natural landscape scene during twilight, giving the painting an overall feel of being serene and tranquil.
