"Waterlilies" is a painting where I wanted to showcase a lovely serene pond teeming with life in the form of vibrant pink waterlily flowers, surrounded by their large green lily pads. The sky above visible through an opening in the foliage adds tranquillity to the scene. The water of the pond is depicted in deep blue tones reflecting the sky and surrounding foliage. Using visible brushstrokes I've added texture and depth to this painting, bringing out details of ripples and veins in the lily pads. It's yet another contemporary artwork in my floral collection, inspired by "Claude Monet".
