Continuing my series of birds spotted on my property, a Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo is featured in this painting. I absolutely love these birds. Their distinctive screeching call can be heard for miles. When I hear their call, I quickly go outside to see if I can spot them. Recently a group of at least 12 birds landed in my front garden and started munching on my banksia flowers as well as my grevillea sandra gordons. It wasn't until later that I realised that they also managed to chop my celery wood tree in half searching for grubs, as well as my swamp blood wood and rose gum. Naughty fellas. My children also get very excited when we see these beautiful birds.
