Sunset View from the dunes on the beach is a magical experience.
This painting is about the closeness of our friends and family. When we come together and experience nature in a different way than usual – these times are magical and special they become part of our soul. Created for a new series called “When Summer Comes”, capturing the freedom and longing, the anticipation of summer.
I have used a combination of warm and vibrant colours to express these close connections here and the different personalities.
The painting style explores the gestures and stances of people. There is not much detail in the actual people of these paintings and it’s not necessary because you can read them from their body language, their shapes, the angle of the head. Enjoy these people shapes, because they are all of us.

The sides are fully painted and it includes D rings and a hanging wire, with bumpers to protect the buyer's walls.
The painting is unframed. A shadow frame or float frame would suit the artwork in light timber or black.
Colour Palette
The colours used correspond to the 2020 Pantone colour of the year, Classic Blue 19-4052 and its corresponding Untraditional Palette using colours very similar to Space Cherry red, Glistening Grape purple/magenta and Water Nymph green.
