Acrylic on paper
Signed on the front.
When Nancy came to stay at our antique aunt's house in the old town, she brought with her a suitcase full of memories. Memories saved from her mother's linen cupboard, her sister's trinket drawer, her father's photo albums and her brother's handmade box. It took days to unravel. It took weeks to talk it over. It took months to sort it out and finally give it new life on the shelves and special places of her new home. Where Nancy came to stay.
I have used midnight blue to form the darkest shadows and overlaid this with layers of washes or glazes using acrylic paint. It has an aged patina which is created by its limited pallet, but a contemporary feel due to the simplicity and economy of the architecture and brushwork.
Painted using acrylic paint on 300gsm paper, unframed.
Signed on the front lower right with the artist's name, contact details, medium and date on the back.
Unframed but ready for you to frame in your choice of frame to suit your decor.
