Wandering around antique shops and fairs is one of my favourite pastimes. At The Sydney Fair in Randwick I admired these beautiful acid etched glass vases from the French Art Deco period. This one in particular “vase Cosmos” was so eye-catching in its design and colour. I teamed it with my all-time favourite poppies to create a dramatic still-life study.
Painted in professional acrylic paints on stretched good quality canvas and varnished with two coats to protect the art.
