About

Neusha Sharifi was born in 1979, Tehran, Iran and emigrated to Australia in 2010. She
has a Bachelor of Graphic Design from Tehran University and a Masters in Graphic Design
from Azad University, Tehran. Neusha was a lecturer in illustration techniques at Azad
University, Tehran for 3 years (2010-2007) and since arriving in Australia she has worked
as a Graphic Designer. Neusha studied realistic painting techniques from renowned Iranian
artists Ostad Morteza Katouzian and Mehdi Alizadeh from the age of 12 years. She has
participated in several group exhibitions in Tehran and Australia. She has always had a
strong passion for painting and more recently her works have developed an abstract style.
Neusha Sharifi’s series of semi-abstract paintings are layered with personal narratives and motifs
that reflect on the choices we make in our daily interactions and the transit between intention and
experience.
