Bushwalking- hidden little gems in the midst of full blown suburbia. Sydney is full of little pockets of bushland, some such as this one, complete with little pools and trickling waterfalls. This one is close to Jannali train station. The light streaming through the trees and the resulting colours and shadows makes painting the scene a challenge and a joy.

I’m obsessed with the Australian bush at the moment. The colours in the gum trees astound me. This piece was inspired by a trip I took to Mt Canobolas in regional NSW. I was completely awestruck as walked through the mist and the gum trees towards Federation Falls. The colours and the light were magical. Our Australian landscape is so unique and I feel quite humbled to have the opportunity to portray
it with my paintbrush.
A pathway leads through the eucalyptus gum trees with mist. Charcoal deep greys, light greys, soft green are the main colours. Deep red, ochre and raw sienna, indigo are used. Dawn beach scene showing sand and skyline and a sunrise coloured sky with warm tones turning to blue. Loosely painte creamy sand. Creamy sand with ocean wavesA gorgeous view taken while walking on the beautiful Esplanade path from Oak Park toward Shelly Park at Cronulla, south of Sydney. A peaceful view of the ocean with pastel colours of aqua, soft green, pale blue pinks and mauves.
A pine tree on the hills and ocean side foliage shrubbery and grass are all in abundance. The rugged coastline is seen with jagged rocks falling down to the sea. A calm stunning beach and coastal scene. A relaxed interpretation of a sun lit path to the one of the many stunning beaches of Jervis Bay. (This was Blenheim Beach, in Vincentia). The beautiful gums, white sand and crystal clear waters are so typical of the many beaches on Jervis Bay. This piece was painted in early 2024 after I spent a week or so in this area on the NSW South Coast. This view shows the path / steps down through the trees (gum trees and other beach side foliage).

It’s painted in an impressionistic style, where you can see and appreciate every brushstroke. Along with the obvious blue and green, there is large amount of soft blush pink, aqua ,mauve and charcoal. The sand and the lines in the sand showing the tide can be seen.

An original oil painted on a primed, birch wood art panel using the highest quality materials. I am a passionate landscape artist and get completely absorbed in each piece.

This piece is sold professionally framed in Oak wood (a floating style box frame) so it is ready to go and there are no further expenses.
