I spent a lot of time in the centre of Paris a couple of years ago drawing the beautiful buildings and parks, but sometimes it was the small things that were the most intriguing. I drew the lamps many times and as I return to them I find them more and more lovely. They've lit the Paris streets for so, so long.
This is an acrylic work on old French/English dictionary pages, and though you can't see it in the photograph, it's coated in a clear gloss.
Measures 2ft by 2ft on stretched canvas, and is ready to hang.
